We discussed and are reviving our apple watches. Here is the thing about me. I have someone that is absolutely annoying the heck out of us. He is going to abuse the machine learning from that watch - has for ages. Apple will not resolve it. However, I personally choose to make sure I have all the life saving support infrastructure I can at my disposal, so when I come across a person who is unconscious and not breathing, the necessary phone call is a step away. It's up to the individual to fix their life from there. I am just that kind of person I run into these kinds of situations.
