Looks like the service I trusted for secure email did not have an e-mail integrity feature. There were a number of edits to some emails I simply did not make. I was giving myself the benefit of doubt that maybe I was operating on auto-pilot with too much chaos, yet now there have been one too many.
Seems someone latched on and started using my messages as his test bed circa 2017.
He was also testing One Time Secret sharing - I missed all of those messages.
